Joseph J. Sefa
Joseph J. Sefa is a 1963 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where he played football under Coach Bud Wilkinson. He is also a 1989 graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School and has been in the private practice of law since his admission to the Michigan Bar. Attorney Sefa is a general practice attorney who has experience in ALL areas of the law. In addition, Attorney Sefa also has a Michigan real estate license and remains active as an attorney in the real estate business.
Attorney Sefa is an active member of the Burton Michigan Rotary Club and remains active in the Flint, Burton and Goodrich community while also volunteering for several fundraisers each year. Attorney Sefa has strong family values and promotes leadership and community involvement.
He has two mottos that he has incorporated into his practice of law: “Winners Never Quit… Quitters Never Win” and “Family Comes First.”
Sarah L. Ellis
Sarah L. Ellis is from the Flint Michigan area and a 2003 graduate from Alma College, where she was a member of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority. She received her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law in 2008.
The newest member to our team, Attorney Ellis was admitted to the bar in November 2009. Prior to becoming an attorney, she worked for 7 years as a paralegal in the Flint Michigan area. Sarah plans to remain in Michigan and practice law throughout the state. Sarah is an active member in the Burton Michigan community and is involved with several local networking groups. She handles a variety of legal matters, including debt relief through bankruptcy, domestic relations, preparation of estate planning documents, credit repair services and probate matters.
Gerald R. Goulet
Gerald R. Goulet received his bachelor’s degree at Wayne State University after spending two years in Detroit as a military police officer.
He received his law degree from the Detroit College of Law. He practiced in the law office of Professor Norris, concentrating in constitutional and criminal law. He received his baptismal of fire as a young lawyer during the Detroit civil insurrection where, with other young lawyers, he resisted the prevailing assembly line justice.
For 25 years in Detroit he practiced criminal and personal injury law in both Federal and State courts. He moved to Davison Michigan in 1994 and is now in general practice.
Attorney Goulet is fluent in French.
